In the summer of 2023, we selected a trio of amazing young artists - Emma Guido, Naomi Hoffman, and Jean Gole - who came to the Camrose Public Library to put up the beautiful mural downstairs. The mural brings a fantastic pop of colour to our kids section.

About the Artists:
Emma Guido is an illustrator and designer based in central Alberta. She graduated from AUArts in 2022 with a bachelor of design in illustration and a minor in animation. Her illustration work and paintings explore the world through a lens of curiosity. Emma is inspired by the sensory experiences she gained growing up in Alberta’s unique landscape. Some themes you’ll encounter in her work are family, play, curiosity, and the natural world. More of her work can be found at

Naomi Hoffman is an illustrator and designer currently living in Calgary, Alberta. Being a recent graduate from the Alberta University of the Arts, Naomi loves to problem solve for all sorts of creative projects. She primarily illustrates with digital software and enjoys incorporating a strong use of texture as well as colour throughout her work. Naomi is commonly inspired by the excitement of exploration and the incredible beauty of nature. She is imaginative with her designs which results in whimsical illustrations involving environments and characters. Naomi has also been involved with hand painted projects throughout Calgary and is always eager to engage with the community. More of her work can be found at

Jean Gole is an illustrator and designer from rural Treaty 7 Territory, currently based in Calgary. They graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2023 with an illustration major and an animation minor. Jean loves to work in mixed media, combining tactile textures and digital cleanliness. The works are love letters to colour, transparencies, and texture. His main inspirations are nature, dreams, folklore, horror, and various vintage aesthetics. More of their art can be found at
