Commercial Use: Prohibited.
Pricing: $2.00 set-up charge, PLUS $0.15 per gram of material used (inc. support material).
Print Materials: PLA (a corn based plastic filament, but please note that it is NOT FOOD SAFE).
Colors: Each print/file can only be printed in one color. If your print has separate components/files each part can be printed in a different color (set-up charges apply). Color selection is on our order form.
Maximum Print Size: 10” x 6” x 6.7” or 254mm x 154mm x 170mm (though we can scale your print to fit our printer).
Length of Print Time: Varies by size of print, but can take as little as 15 minutes to several hours. Print queuing will vary by demand. The prints will be processed in the order in which they are received. Staff will do their best to estimate a print date.
Modifications: Scale, orientation, and addition of support materials can be modified as requested, but staff cannot make other modifications. Files submitted for printing are deemed to be print ready unless otherwise noted on the 3D Print Order Form.
Support Costs: Material used to stabilize an object as necessary during printing will be charged in addition to the print. Supports are necessary for print success.
Print Failure: Failure due to an issue with the file as it was submitted to the IPL will be charged. Failure due to a staff or equipment error will be reprinted.
Pick-up: Prints must be picked up within 14 days of notification, or the print will become the property of the IPL (and future prints may be denied).
Payment: Due upon completion. If you require a price estimate please let us know in the Other Information of the 3D Print Order Form, you will be contacted prior to printing to approve your order. Please note that these are only estimates and not the final price.
Payment Method: Cash or cheque only.
