2025 Municipal Elections
As Albertans head to the polls in October to elect their municipal councils, it is critical to keep the local library in mind. Municipal funding plays a huge role in keeping the library operational and allowing it to meet the diverse needs of a community. This election season, it’s important to advocate for the library to any current or new councillors and Parkland has developed a host of elections resources to help you do so. As you scroll down this page, you’ll find a variety of resources meant to help library staff, board members, and patrons to promote and advocate for the local public library. Additionally, you can request help from Parkland’s Advocacy Committee for training, campaign building, council presentations, and more to help you get started.
