Programs and Services for children ages 0-5

Read and Rhyme runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 10:30 am

Read & Rhyme is a group for parents and kids birth to 5 to develop a love of literacy together. Read & Rhyme will keep you on your toes with songs that encourage kids to move their bodies. There's no quietly sitting still, as anyone who's ever met a toddler knows! Kids and parents alike make friends for life in this understanding, judgment-free space.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless! Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. Any book read, even repeats, count. Books are recorded in a reading log and prizes will be given each time a reading log is completed. Or, download the free app and track your reading that way. The goal is to have read 1000 books by the time your little one starts kindergarten. What a great way to bond with your child. Print and sound awareness, print recognition and vocabulary all come from listening to parents and loved ones talk and read to them. Download the program booklet and first reading log here, or pick one up at the library. There is also an app that you can use to record your progress on your device. For more information about the program see https://10000booksbeforekindergarten.org.
