How do I get my books?

Library Pickup

Materials can be picked up in the library during our regular operating hours.

Curb side pickup

Curbside pickup is also available during our regular hours.  Let us know when you would like to pick up your items by calling or emailing us ahead of time.  We will check out your materials and place them in a bin located outside our front door.  When you arrive at the library, simply pick up your items and enjoy!

Loan Periods

All items are loaned for a period of 3 weeks.

Renewals

You can renew items in person, by phone, or online. Items can be renewed a maximum of 5 times.

Renewals are not permitted:

  • If the item is requested by another patron
  • If you have accumulated fines over $25
  • On external Interlibrary Loans from outside of Parkland Regional Libraries

Extended loan periods are possible on certain items, if you will be away on holidays, are ill for an extended period, etc.  Ask for an extension before the item is due.

Returns

Library materials can be returned to any library in Parkland Regional Library System!

We accept materials in our outside book drop, located beside our front door.  If you are ever unable to return your items, please let us know and we will work with you to either adjust your due dates or make other arrangements for their return.

Overdue Items & Fines

You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card and any juvenile cards on your family account.  Overdue fines are system generated but not collected - a “guilty jar” is available at the staff desk for those wishing to make a donation.

When an item is 6 weeks overdue, your account will show charges for replacement costs.  Borrower cards are temporarily suspended if fines are $25 or over.
